General

Australians have long had a proud tradition of mateship and of helping out those less fortunate than themselves. This is something for which we must all take collective responsibility to maintain, foster and grow. If we are to build a truly great nation, we must take personal responsibility for our actions, in helping others and ourselves. We should not always look to government in the first instance when seeking to solve our problems, but instead remember the power of communities working together in voluntary cooperation for the greater good. Such activity builds confidence and trust between people, and leads to safer and stronger communities.
